ABOUT
Benson Engineering is a third generation, family owned, representation firm. The company was founded in 1946, by Carl A. Benson. The young company was started by representing a leading bearing manufacturer and in the years that followed, Mr. Benson built a business founded on great products, hard work, integrity and a strong ethical standard that has been passed down through generations. In the 1970’s Carl R. Benson took over the business. This generation added a warehouse business to the portfolio, which moved the organization into new markets and opportunities. Throughout the 1990’s, the organization continued to change as new generations became active. 2000 was a pivotal year for the company as a partnership between Curt Benson and Alan Hobbs set the course for future growth and development. Through strategic acquisitions of highly trained personnel and increased product lines, Benson Engineering continues to provide customers and OEMs with quality products, outstanding service and ethical standards Benson Engineering is known for.

OUR TEAM
Curt Benson started with Benson Engineering in 1989 covering the Arkansas territory for his father’s business. Throughout his 20+ years in the industry Curt has worked in the majority of the territories covered by Benson Engineering. In 2000 he purchased the business with Alan Hobbs from his father and currently covers the Houston, New Orleans, West Texas and portions of the DFW Metroplex.
Alan Hobbs graduated from Texas Tech University in 1990 whereupon he entered the banking industry working with Bank One Texas. In 1993 an opportunity to sell for Diebold Incorporated put Alan into the capital goods sales arena where he stayed until the end of 1996. Alan came to work for Benson Engineering in 1997 and became co-owner of the firm in 2000. Currently he covers the Central Texas, Central Oklahoma and DFW market.
Marc Mason has worked with Benson Engineering since 2005 with a focused territory of Eastern Oklahoma, Arkansas, Northern Louisiana, East Texas and a portion of the DFW Metroplex. Marc’s background is rooted in the manufacturing market place with technical sales ranging in machine tool accessories to capital equipment sales.
David Wittman began with Benson Engineering in 1996 and has covered the Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Western Iowa market for Benson Engineering since that time. David’s experience includes working in and selling to the manufacturing industry since 1980.
